Lenny Kravitz- Liquid Jesus Lyrics
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
I feel something coming over me
You and I were meant to be lovers
I’ve been praying
For the day that you would come to set me free
It’s finally over
You have released me, baby
Now we can fall in love and be reborn
For all the world to see
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
I want to spend all eternity
Loving you my darling
It would be ecstasy
Pure emotion
Harmonic sounds
Tasting all the life in all it’s majesty
If you want it
I wanna give it baby
I wanna give you something that you only thought was fantasy
Rob from Always on the run is bad bad bad
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
If you want it
I want to give it, baby
I wanna give you something that you only thought was fantasy
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus
Wash me over, wash me down
I wanna get saved, baby
Oh liquid Jesus…

I met Lenny in 1989 when I was a bus person at one of our favorite downtown vegetarian restaurants in NYC, “Quantum Leap” he was not famous yet (” he was born a rock star though”). He used to come around all the time with her baby daughter! His first solo album was about to be released. He gave us a CD to play it at the restaurant and then he said he’d bring ME some tickets for his concert… he was opening for Tom Petty. I was hanging out/loving Joey Ramone, him too used to come to the restaurant. Unfortunately I left my job to enrolled at NYU to study Music Education and NEVER saw Lenny again. I knew he was a star.
Liquid Jesus is my favorite one of all his songs. And Black and White America my favorite one of his albums. Am currently living/working as a Music teacher in the UAE (Dubai), and his record has become AMAZING company!!!
Thanks Lenny,
Miss you
