Lana Del Rey’s New Video – Summertime Sadness

America’s new darling, Lana Del Rey has premiered a new music video for her latest single Summertime Sadness and to be quite honest, you guys are in for a treat cause we’re gonna get to see some girl on girl action, between Lana and Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the role of Lana’s girlfriend. The whole video appears to be an ode to Instagram, which is not all that different from Lana’s other videos. The clip was directed by Jaime King’s husband, filmmaker Kyle Newman, and Spencer Susser and Lana plays the role of Jaime King’s grief-stricken lover. Pretty controversial wouldn’t you agree?

The storyline follows two girls who are in love, but who end up taking their own lives, and if you’re curious to hear some fun trivia about the clip, “Magic Mike” star, Alex Pettyfer, also dropped by to help on set as a production assistant.

Unfortunately, if you like drama, you’re in for a lot of drama cause the clip is a one on one representation of the lyrics. And even if we got to see Jesus crucified in one of Lana’s previous videos, in the new clip for “Summertime Sadness” we get to see the starlet stretching out her hands and plummeting to her death.
