“Mama Said” is Lenny Kravitz’s second full length studio album, which was originally released on April 2, 1991 via Virgin Records.
The recording sessions took place in 1990-1991, and Lenny Kravitz produced the album himself.
The LP was Kravitz’s first U.S. Top 40 album, reaching #39 on Billboard 200. The album sold over 3 million copies.
