Jessica Jarrell Biography

From a starring role in a school Christmas play to performing with Justin Bieber to thousands of fans on stage – Jessica Jarrell is definitely living the dream! The 15-year-old pop and R’n’B singer, her nickname is JJ, was born and raised in Diamond Bar, California on January 1st, 1995 and started her career in the spotlight as a child model. She starred in print ads for K-Mart, Mattel and American Girl and was too shy to act or perform until her friends dragged her to an audition for the school Christmas play. She ended up getting two parts and so began her love of performing on stage!

Jessica’s Big Break

Even though Jessica always loved singing she was way too shy! A family friend who had connections to recording studios in Los Angeles encouraged her to try to write her own songs and start singing. Soon she met music producer/writer Toby Gad who saw her talent and helped her write an entire album! Then she was signed to Kite Nyc Records/Mercury Records and so began her exciting singing career! Her very first gig was performing for President Obama at the White House Easter Egg Roll in 2009. Talk about starting big!

This year has been an exciting one for Jessica! Not only has she been touring all over the U.S. and Canada with her friend Justin Bieber on his “My World 2.0” tour, she’s had some hit singles of her own! From the catchy dance tun “Armageddon” to “Almost Love” and “Up and Running”, 15-year-old “JJ” is one up and coming star we have our eye on! Justin Bieber even tweeted about her on Twitter as his “mystery guest” vocalist on his song “Overboard” before his record release. We’d love to see those two perform togetherlive onstage!
