B5 Biography

B5 is an R&B boy band originating from St. Petersburg, Florida and later relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. The group consists of Dustin Michael Breeding born October 8, Kelly Allen Breeding born February 27, Patrick Owen Breeding born September 19, Carnell Fredrick Hunnicut Breeding born November 30 and Bryan Jesse Breeding born October 14. They were formerly known as the TNT Boyz featuring only the four eldest brothers, but renamed themselves B5 when Bryan, the youngest brother, joined the group.

Career

B5 competed a lot of competitions, winning most of them, including shows by Radio Disney. Jim McMahan, the manager of JAMM Entertainment Group, said he immediately saw the group’s potential when they were presented to him by one of his associates. The group continued to do shows and perform with artists such as Mario Winans, Kanye West, Ginuwine, Usher, Fantasia, Bow Wow, Joe, amongst others, and performed for Albert II, Prince of Monaco. B5 appeared on the soundtrack “High School Musical” soundtrack with the song “Get’cha Head in The Game”. “Get’cha Head in The Game” went from number 100 to number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its second week of release. B5 also appeared in Ciara’s music video 1,2 Step
B5 (2004—2005)

P. Diddy pulled out some of the top producers in the business to work on B5’s self-titled debut album, B5. Among the producers were Rodney Jerkins, Ryan Leslie, Sean Garrett, Corna Boyz, Veit Renn and P. Diddy himself. The lead single, “All I Do”, originally recorded by The Jackson 5 and covered by Troop, was the suggested song to them by Jerkins and they recorded it without hearing either of the other two versions. Patrick acknowledges that their version is more reminiscent of the Troop cover than the original. B5 had their self-titled debut CD and was a top 20 hit on the Billboard 200 and reached number seven on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Chart. Their images dignified fanzine covers month after month. They created a craze wherever they went or visited. They even caused the shut down of a Minneapolis mall when approximatley 2000 fans rushed towards the stage during a free concert that took place there. B5’s 2005 self-titled debut CD made an impressive debut at #19 in its first week of release on the Billboard 200 and also entered at #11 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The debut gave the hit singles “All I Do” and “U Got Me,” which peaked at Radio Disney at #9 and hung on the BET “106 & Park” Top 10 for weeks.
Don’t Talk, Just Listen (2007)

“Hydrolics,” featuring Bow Wow, is the first single from the album and a powerful glimpse into “Don’t Talk, Just Listen”. “Hydrolics,” Is “Most Downloaded” on YouTube.com with more than 940,000 views.The video was “Most Downloaded” on YouTube.com in its first week. In the album “Don’t Talk, Just Listen,” B5 tried their hand at writing a few songs, with the help of super-producers such as Bryan Michael Cox, Mario Winans, Soul Diggaz, Danja, Blaze , The Underdogs, Insomoniax, and Mischke. The CD is executive produced by Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Kevin Wales, and Harve Pierre. B5’s sophomore album Don’t Talk, Just Listen was released on September 11, 2007. It was their last album on Bad Boy records. B5 said in a interview in July 2009 that they left Badboy] and that they are doing Dance Junkeez because they have not been very visual lately.
2009-present

B5 made an appearance in O’ so Krispie’s video, “Slumber Party”, with cousins from group Myxx. B5 have been producing fresh music with former artist Mirko CrazyToons. Approximatly eight new songs have been recorded with Mirko CrazyToons. Snippets can be listened to on Youtube or on Mirko CrazyToons Official Myspace.
Before B5 (2009)

Before B5 is the groups new album. “Before B5” has never before seen pictures of B5 and TNT Boyz and Special Video Clips! Take a Journey back with B5 as they tell you about each song they did as the TNT Boyz and when they added youngest brother Bryan Breeding and formed into and became B5! Listen to the first songs ever recorded by B5 as they laugh, joke and have fun personally hosting this new Collectors Album “Before B5”!

The new B5 DVD is called “The Journey So Far”. It takes fans where they have never been. You can pre-order it now, or can buy it on February 24th 2009 when it releases. It will be sold in stores in Target, K-Mart, Best Buy, F.Y.E., Barnes and Nobles and online at Amazon.com.
